Good afternoon Errol,

 

Great to catch up with you and everyone at the meeting last Monday. It was terrific to see so many people with such interest in the talk, thank you. As discussed here are the dates for our 'open days' we have this combined with the Water Garden Society. Great chance for like minds to interact.

 

With Victoria Day weekend being early on the 18th, tend to see people generally have other priorities on that weekend, so we will be open on the Saturday 23rd May and Saturday 6th June

We'll do hours from 9am to 3pm.

 

We'll have promotional pricing for these two days only at 15% off for all stock as per pricing on the website store or MSRP.

 

We will have a large selection of fish available this season.

We have over wintered local koi, we have a shipment of Japanese koi currently in quarantine that will be available. We also have larger local grown koi available.

There's also goldfish and shubunkins again.

 

Further, our early spring buy promotion will extend to May 8th. We'll be offering a 15% again for all purchases undertaken on all product listed on the website. This will be for curbside pick up or delivery once the weather permits. Or as your convenience for pumps, liners, replacement parts, additives, etc.

I am relocating overseas this summer and would prefer to not put this aquarium in storage.
The aquarium is a little over one year old and has been in continuous operation since February 2025, with high-tech (CO2) planted setup. I am asking $1000.

Comment – this is a slightly unique aquarium dimension. The aquarium has a bit more front to back depth than is commonly the case, which is nice for additional plants / hardscape while still leaving room for fish.

Aquarium Features
�   Easy-Connect through-tank filtration system. There is a filtration tube / mount drilled through bottom of the tank. No messy visible tubes showing! This is one of the big reasons I bought the tank. Works like a charm. There are caps that can be used to block it off if you wish to use the tank with different filtration setup.

Introductions / Re: Getting back into the hobb...

Another update, after having operated the tank / setup for 13-14 months now. I had to get rid of the Amazon Sword - it completely overgrew the tank and was blocking all the light. The Tiger val is pretty thick and long, so I constantly have to thin it as well. I have let the Staurogyne repens carpet fairly densely - it is great hiding cover for the various juvenile apistos. There are probably 5-6 teenagers still in the tank and probably some younger ones growing out. I have dialled in fertilizer dosing, lighting etc., so don't really have algae issues though I will get green spot on glass on anubias (which actually grows really quickly, so I mostly just trim off any leaves if there is too much green spot). Anyhow, it has been a blast. I am moving overseas this summer so I will have to tear down the setup and put it for sale. See adds elsewhere in forum / kijiji.
