Evening,

Has anybody had any experience with online orders from D&T Hydroponic? I just stumbled across their site and it looked like they have a very good deal on a Milwaukee regulator set I have been looking for. They have quoted $25 for the shipping to Canada for both the regulator and a second solenoid I am getting for a friend. However, their site says that any extra custom fees, import fees, taxes, brokerage fees, and handling fees are the responsibility of the purchaser and not included in that quote. Any idea how much those fees would be on a $115 order? They ship through USPS so I should avoid the substantial fees I have heard of from UPS but I have no idea what the extra charges would be.

You may not get hit with anything at the border or they may decide to charge you HST and/or a small service fee.  It really seems to be hit or miss.

I have seen some pretty heavy customs/duty charges before, especially when the item is shipped by ground shipping.
Getting charged the tax is pretty much a guarentee.

This item is $107 with shipping from the US + the possibility of some very hefty brokerage/duty/customs charges.

And its $111-118 within Canada. My advise would be to buy it in Can.
