Hello i have been fishin at calabogie for about 4 days and liked some of the plants over there so i took a specimen. I'm not sure what kind of plant it is but i won't take any chances im not gonna release or flush this plant nor will i put any fish in the same tank.

I found this plant under a rock where it had no way of routing itself in the ground so i left it under a rock. the main forms of fertilization will be CO2injection with a yeast colony.
I plan to on and off treat the tank for things like ich for hichhickers deseases and parasites. treatmnet will includ ich medicen and alcohol for disenfecting scabs and stuf.

So does anybodie know what kind of plant this is? What are it's requirements?

Could be a water milfoil of some sort - Possibly Myriophyllum verticillatum , Bracted millfoil, M. sibiricum - northern milfoil or  Eurasian water millfoil (M. spicatum) which is an introduced species and is now common throughout Southern Ontario. Another possibility is Ceratophyllum demersum - Common Coontail.  Can't really tell without a clear shot of the leaves

No specialized requirements other than lower temps than tropical (<24C) and low flow.  Can grow rooted or free floating.  As both species grow close to or at the surface in temperate waters I would suggest it requires decent light levels.

Rainbows, plecos, corydoras, killifish, Apistogramma

Well it seems to be thriving in it's little habitat. All im doing is recreating the conditions it was in. It's setup same way as it was in the lac.

I have noticed hitch hikers on the glass latly and i was wondering if they could be parasites i know there's one large pond snail, tiny litle guys in large shells(compared to their size and worms. I've been attempting to kill them by putting Alcohol in the water seems to affect them a litle but not alot...

One more thing i'd like to put a honey gourami in there what do you guys think?
