Hey all!

I'm wondering if any one has any good tips or suggestions as to a better way to extract babies without tearing apart the whole tank?  I'm loving the tank set up but hate tearing it apart to extract the babies to avoid over-population.
If you've experienced this and have any tricks, tools to use, expertise to share I'd love to hear it!

Thanks!!

Lower the water level so that they can't get over the nets.
Use multiple nets to box them in.

What kind of fry are you referring to?

I'm looking to extract brachardi fry from a populated and fully set up tank.  The nets idea would work perfectly were it a fry tank but unfortunately not a viable option in a fully set up with decor and other fish tank.  :(  any other ideas?

Do they come out to feed? You can try using a large cheesecloth to corner them in the tank while feeding and then pick them off or if you have a heavy stone designed tank where they hide you may be limited to using a power pump with a tube and netting insert. It will take patience.
The first time I got shrimp my wife asked "How big do they get and can you eat them?"

I put a divider in the tank and only take apart a portion of the tank.
