A few days ago I started using Pimafix to treat a sick fish, I also added 3 Tablespoons to my tank.  Its a 33 Gallon.  I just noticed last night that my java fern has all turned brown and rotted, just since I've done this.  What has caused it, the Pimafix or the salt?

That was 3 tablespoons of aquarium salt, btw.

Fish medication will not be very nice to plants. It is best to remove the fish into a separate tank with fresh treated water the.

Seanc

I have not had trouble with salt, I am guessing that it is the other meds

Thanks, I'll know better next time

java fern, java moss as well as anubias can tollerate salt and are often the only plants you see in brackish tanks.

my java ferns went brown and nasty when I treated with salt.  I thought they would be fine, now I'd never leave 'em in there while treating.
Tanks: salty nano cube, working on a fresh 125

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.  So love the people who treat you right.  Forget about the one's who don't.  Believe everything happens for a reason.  If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.  If it changes your life, let it.  Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
