My Green Mandarin today for the first time (at least I saw it myself) took the pellet food - New Life Spectrum! It took him 4-5 months to get to this point!
Now my pods could relax a little :)

Wow that's a major breakthrough, good job.

Aiglos

GVV:  Good show !

Talk about alot of hard work eh ? I am very happy for you as I have heard how hard it is even to keep the mandarins alive in captivity but you are not only keeping him alive but acclimating him to Pellet food.

Please tell us more about the tank he is in and his tankmates !

Again good job !

Nelson

Great  Val,  how much you want for him

Congrats! I'm so glad the Mandarin doesn't have to rely on 'pods now.

Julie

Excellent  :) - what's the secret to convincing them to eat non live food?

gvv

Thank you all!

Nelson: No way - I got him a madam!
Aiglos: Little bit later - I'm planning to go to the business trip, so not enough time.
Julie: It is funny, but he looked at the others and I think he was surprized that Cleaner shrimps and Yellow tang taking something from undr his nose, so he tried: frozen food at first and not pellets. If I'm not wrong, PowderBlueTang posted a link on the site of they guy who decided to have mandarin in nano-reef. He mentioned in this article, that mandarinsactully very curious and can try to repaet what other fish doing around. Now I believe so.

Now, I need to convince his girlfriend to take the food - right now she started to try frozen, even I got her only 3 weeks ago. It seems she had a coach :)
