Can a foam filter be attached to the end of the intake on my Magnum 350 all DIY style?

Or does it require the Airstone meathod?

BigDaddy

I guess you are going to have to elaborate on what "the airstone method" is

darkdep

Yeah...dunno what the "airstone method" is.  But you can put a foam filter on any water intake, really.

Iceman

I believe the airstone method would be the foam at the bottom of a tube with the airstone inside to draw the water through the foam.

sykomonkey

iceman has what i mean.  An airstone at the bottom of a tube.

Thanks all.

Aiglos

Sponge Filters use air stones to airlift the water up and draw water in.

If you have a hydrosponge or similer sponge filter there is no reason you can't attach it to a powerhead or canister filter.

Wow I just read the subject...now this thread makes sense :)

The APW missed a simple question.  ;) Perhaps he should take his head out of code mode.  ;D  But hey, what do I know. I'm just a user. Please don't hurt me.  ;D Oh crap I can feel him closimg in now. The corner filter works with an airstone to draw water throught the filter, oh, never mind.

You know, I've pretty much finished my threatening of dubya, I was looking for the next one to step out of line.  Thanks Ice.  :)
