Hi folks,

Just wanted to share with you my experience of building my own aquarium stand.  It was easy to do (even if you have to use a jigsaw when you don't have a table saw to cut the doors).  It cost me approx. $150 and it fits my decor perfectly. I'll be building a light canope next...just haven't got the time yet.

Keep in mind that the aquarium is new and I haven't put in as much plants as I'd like yet.

Cheers,

Dom

Thank you Darkdep.

No, I didn't take pics inside yet, I'll try to take some later.  The inside isn't fancy though..mainly 2 X 4 s and hinges ;)

Thank you Aiglos but I seem to recall seeing some beautiful stuff from you too :)

Pet Tommy for me.  Oh, thought you'd get a kick out of this.  Asher just hit the 200lbs mark and the vet said he's lean  :o

Aww, you have a horse?

It is really an Old English Mastiff, sounds like a nice one too, an aside here Dominique, where did you get the little rascal, maybe you could post some pictures with him beside the nice new tankstand. I always had a soft spot for the giant workgroup.

Hi there,

I got Asher from a great, responsible and caring breeder in Carleton Place.  Lacelle's Mastiffs.  BTW, http://community.webshots.com/album/551766520vFhFYX that's the link for her new puppies ;)  The puppy called Rambo may be added to my family...still working on hubby ;)

Here's a picture of Asher in his pool less than a month ago...he's only 17 months old and still growing.  He's also the best tempered dog I've ever met.  I used to have Great Danes prior to him but I must confess that Mastiffs in general are much more easy to keep and not head strong.  Anyway, I could bable about him all night but....gotta go for our walk so I won't bore you guys ;)

If you follow the local Dog show circuit you'll be seeing him starting this fall and definately next spring.

Cheers,
