There certainly was a good crowd at the meeting.

I recognized a few people that had dropped by at one time or another at my place to get plants from me, but i still didnt attach webnames from here to the faces i saw there. O well. We all need name tags (how many times has THAT been suggested!) Maybe just plastic holders so that people can wear their mebership cards at the meeting?

Or, maybe we should get everyone to upload mug shots into the gallery section of this website. I think we only hav a few pictures in there so far.

I was easy to pick out with my bright orange golf shirt   .

Quote from: "BigDaddy"BTW... where do people get those nice tubular plant bags?

My java ferns got a complex... getting bid on inside their little ziplock bags....

So... is anyone going to tell me where to get the "mystery bags"???

Marc

If you mean the long skinny tubular bags I think those were Heinz's.  He's not on the web so he won't be able to answer.  I'm not sure where he got them but I think he purchased them years ago.

Other fish bags which are usually a bit wider and not quite as long  sometimes come up for auction at OVAS or Aquatic Auctions Canada (//www.aquabay.ca).  I'm not sure where people originally buy them.

Heinz once explained to me that he bought the skiiny tube bags from a hardware supply store near bank.

Its actually one very long tube, sold as a roll.. He cuts what he needs from the roll, and ties up both ends of what he cut off making his bags.

Try a hardware store and look for plastic tubing, being sold as a roll.

I'd be interested in buying some as well.

I guess those are also suitable for those longnose gars haha :D

I think that he bought the roll at Canus Plastics or the other store in Ottawa that sells plexiglass.
