On my 150gal I use a eheim 2028 pro II with sponge and floss only; a eheim 2229 wet/dry & a magnum 350 with a micron cartridge which I change once a week.

What are you using/would recommend as additional filtration, if anything...

Thanks!

I think you have anough mechanical....I would put some media in the 2028 for more biological... the magnum's are great for mechanical...you can even put some diatom powder in the Magnum and that would increase your mechanical.

my 150 filtration is crazy

- i have an emperor 400 - primary for biological
- i have an ac500 (110) - primarily for mechanical
- i have a hagen ac702 powerhead on a quickfilter - primarily for circulation
- i have a marineland magnum 350 with a micron filter - for polishing - then this goes into a turbotwist 6 UV sterilizer

but if that where not enough - the tank was intended as a fastwater stream - so I use a MAG18 pond pump (drawing from one end, exiting in the other), with a course sponge filter on it for larger floating debris, and to keep a constant quick water flow on the tank.

On my 72 gal I have a single Fluval 404. But I don't feel it's enough so I hope to probably add either dual AC110s or dual AC70s.
