I'm looking for a decent set of tweezers and scissors to help me setup and maintain a heavily planted tank.

Google returned a lot of stuff, ranging from 50$ for a plastic+stainless set of 12 tools, to a 118$ pair of German stainless scissors. I would like to keep it on the cheap side, but don't want to end up having to buy new ones in a few months because they rust or break.

Also, I have my reserve about using stainless tweezers to hold and secure new plants, I fear my big clumsy hands will crush em.. Wouldn't a rubber/plastic tweezer be more gentle on the stems ?

What do you recommend ?

I got a great pair of scissors and tweezers for my 90 gallon off Ebay. It was a while ago so I can't remember the make or anything....but they were not expensive at all. They may even have actually been medical supply equipment.

The ebay link you posted is pretty similar to what I ended up getting. The only difference that I could really notice is that my tweezer tips are a little wider and have rubber guards on the end to protect the plants a little better.

Just a tought, as my tank is 19.5" high, I think I should've got the 16" version of that kit.  But then again, working the tools gets harder the bigger they are.  It's a back pain vs dexterity trade-off ;)
