Hi everyone,

A quick question.  I have a 100 gallon tank.  I did have a heater in there for a 40g and then a second one for a 30g (from my older tanks).  I had to take out the 40g heater because it was consitently raisong the temp above 80- no matter what setting I put it at- and I was worried it would end up frying my fish.  So now I only have my 30g in there, but oddlly, my tank has been at a stable 76 F for the last week- which is what I've set the heater at.  It's really odd.  Shouldn't my 100 gallon need a stronger heater?

I also depends on what temperature you keep the room that the tank is in at, if the room temperature is high then the heater will not have much work to do if that makes any sense
