Paludarium

A fish-friendly reminder from the Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society…

With these frosty April mornings, wouldn’t it be nice to be on a beach? You could be inspired to build your own beach with this month’s presentation!

How Not to Build a Paludarium [Alyssa Gonzalez]
Alyssa Gonzalez, a dedicated OVAS member and our current Auction Chair, presented one year ago on fish that walk on land! Keeping with the theme, featuring the land-water boundary, she will return to present on building a paludarium, a combination of terrestrial and aquatic habitats. There are always lessons to be learned when constructing these unique environments, and her talk will detail the dos and don’ts of the building process and inspire your own builds.

There will be some prizes, and who knows what other fun surprises that we may have up our wet sleeves!
Members are encouraged to set up vendor tables, so bring some cash if looking to shop.
OVAS will have fish bags available for purchase: 25 for $3 / 50 for $5.

OVAS memberships can be renewed for the 2023-2024 season in-person at our meeting, or ONLINE.
