OVAS MEMBERSHIP<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

Becoming an OVAS member is one of the best things you can do to support the club and the hobby.\u00a0 The exchange of knowledge and meeting of like-minded people is what OVAS is all about.<\/p>\n

In addition to helping the club pay for it\u2019s various programs, forum and website, you will receive discounts from some of our supporting sponsors<\/a>.\u00a0 OVAS members can save up to 10% on their purchases which means that your membership will pay for itself in a very short time and save you a significant amount of money on livestock and supplies.\u00a0 Simply show your membership card when making your purchase to obtain your discount.\u00a0 Note that if the item(s) are already on sale or if there is already a bulk discount, then the membership discount may not be applicable.\u00a0 This will be at the discretion of the supporting sponsor.<\/p>\n

There are three ways you can join OVAS or renew your membership.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You can click on the Buy Now<\/strong> link below to purchase or renew your membership online via PayPal.\u00a0 If you purchase or renew your membership online, your membership card will be mailed to you via Canada Post.\u00a0 Please allow up to a month to receive your card.\u00a0 While you wait for your card, you can use your PayPal receipt as proof of membership.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. You can also purchase or renew your membership in person at our monthly meetings with cash.\u00a0 You will receive your membership card right away.<\/li>\n
  3. If you do not have a PayPal account and cannot attend the in person meetings, you can arrange another payment method by reaching out to the OVAS Treasurer<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you are on the OVAS forum, your status will be set to OVAS Club Member after your membership has been processed.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Please be advised that the OVAS season is one year long and the season starts in September.\u00a0 If you purchase or renew your membership at the last meeting of the season in May then you will get the following years membership.\u00a0 After the last meeting in May, the OVAS programs will not be active again until September with the exception of the Garage Sale that usually takes place in August or September.\u00a0 However the forum, website and social media will still continue to be active.\u00a0 You can still purchase or renew your membership online during the summer months but it will take some time for the membership card to be sent to you so please be patient.\u00a0 While you wait for your card, you can use your PayPal receipt as proof of membership.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Adult Memberships – Any person 16 years of age and over<\/p>\n

    Youth Memberships – Any person up to 15 years of age<\/p>\n

    Family Memberships – Shall include all family members under one household<\/p>\n

    If you have any questions about membership or haven’t received your card after a month, you can send an email to the OVAS Membership Chair<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    You don\u2019t need to be a member to attend meetings and events but you should consider joining anyway.\u00a0 Membership dues are what make auctions, speakers, seminars, meetings, etc., possible.\u00a0 OVAS also supports and encourages the hobby in various ways.\u00a0 Most recently, we have begun encouraging young people to enjoy the hobby through classroom tank donations made possible through membership dues and OVAS sponsors.<\/div>\n
