{"id":1072,"date":"2011-05-10T02:41:20","date_gmt":"2011-05-10T02:41:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ovas.ca\/ovas\/?p=1072"},"modified":"2011-06-21T02:15:46","modified_gmt":"2011-06-21T02:15:46","slug":"may-general-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ovas.ca\/ovas\/may-general-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"May General meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Important Notice!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The OVAS May General Meeting will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011  starting at 7pm.\u00a0 Please note that this is a departure from our normal  4th Monday of the month meeting due to the Victoria Day long weekend<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Every May is <a href=\"http:\/\/ovas.ca\/forum\/index.php?topic=50113.0\" target=\"_blank\">election<\/a> time at OVAS.\u00a0 All card carrying members will be  able to vote for their favourite candidate for next season&#8217;s executive.\u00a0  Nominations can take place any time between now and decision time at  the meeting next week. If you&#8217;re interested in running for a position,  don&#8217;t be shy!\u00a0 Please bring your membership cards everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Since  the meeting will be partially occupied by the election, we&#8217;ll be seeing  a 30 minute video about the Georgia Aquarium as well as having an  interactive trivia game!\u00a0 There are great prizes to be won, so brush up  on all things aquarium before you attend the meeting!<\/p>\n<p>Last but not least, we&#8217;ll be having our usual mini-auction.<\/p>\n<p>We hope to see lots of people (new and returning) at the meeting.\u00a0 See you soon!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Important Notice!
