{"id":1082,"date":"2011-05-23T20:13:17","date_gmt":"2011-05-23T20:13:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ovas.ca\/ovas\/?p=1082"},"modified":"2011-06-26T22:12:09","modified_gmt":"2011-06-26T22:12:09","slug":"end-of-season-bbq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ovas.ca\/ovas\/end-of-season-bbq\/","title":{"rendered":"End of Season BBQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Year&#8217;s BBQ will be held on Sunday, June 26th at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadascapital.gc.ca\/data\/2\/rec_docs\/1503_vm_map_andlegend.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Vincent Massey Park<\/a> from  11:00am until whenever we&#8217;ve eaten enough roasted pig! We have site &#8220;H&#8221;  reserved for our use but will try to get the covered area just inside  the park again at the end of the parking lot this year in case of  inclement weather.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re also going to be planning several fun  activities for the kids this year.\u00a0 Each child who&#8217;s parent(s) RSVP the  family&#8217;s attendance will be given a small loot bag full of great fishy  related surprises.\u00a0 There will be picnic tables on site but please bring  your own blanket, umbrella, chairs, beach balls, frizbees, etc that you  and your family would like to use.\u00a0 We want this to be a fabulous  family event!<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re  planning a pig roast again this year with a &#8220;Pot Luck&#8221; for side dishes  such as salads, fruits, dinner rolls, or desserts.\u00a0 Please contact our  <a href=\"http:\/\/ovas.ca\/forum\/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=2236\" target=\"_blank\">Fishnut<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/ovas.ca\/forum\/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=292\" target=\"_blank\">Nerine<\/a> if you&#8217;re not too sure what to bring.\u00a0 Pop, juice and  water will be provided by OVAS.<\/p>\n<p>As in past years this event is <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong> FREE<\/strong><\/span> for card holding &#8220;CLUB MEMBERS&#8221; and their families.\u00a0 FORUM only  members are welcome to attend BUT will be required to pay a $5 fee per  person and bring something for the &#8220;potluck&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>PARKING\u00a0 IS $7 AT THE PARK.\u00a0 <em>Unfortunately, OVAS can&#8217;t do anything about this charge&#8230;we tried.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Please <a href=\"http:\/\/ovas.ca\/forum\/index.php?topic=50163.0\" target=\"_blank\">RSVP<\/a> if you&#8217;re planning on attending.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Year&#8217;s BBQ will be held on Sunday, June 26th at Vincent Massey Park from 11:00am until whenever we&#8217;ve eaten enough roasted pig!
