PRESENTATION BY NANCY EGELTON<\/h3>\n
We are pleased to have speaker,\u00a0Nancy Egelton<\/b>, the current President<\/a> of\u00a0<\/span>CAOAC\u00a0<\/span><\/b>(Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs) and the\u00a0<\/span>TCGG\u00a0<\/span><\/b>(Trans Canada Guppy Group)<\/a> for September’s presentation. Nancy is very much involved in the aquarium hobby, leading the governing body of all Canadian aquarium clubs (CAOAC) and is well known for upholding and judging the proper standards when raising and showing guppies. She will also be bringing some “goodies” from the Trans Canada Guppy Group!<\/div>\n

OVAS meetings are a great place to meet and socialize with other hobbyists, to compare notes, trade plants and fish, and to learn something new. OVAS members are a fine group of people who are happy to share their knowledge and experience.<\/p>\n

Whether you are new to the hobby or a seasoned expert, you will always find friendly faces who are more than happy to answer questions or help solve a problem. OVAS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the aquarium hobby in Ottawa and its surrounding areas. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in home aquariums and provides many benefits such as discounts at local retailers, easy access to the aquarium community, attend events, and more! The club meets at least once a month at Tom Brown arena from September through to May and maintains the\u00a0ovas.ca<\/a>\u00a0website and online forum.<\/p>\n
