A fish-friendly reminder from the Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society…<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I hope this second-winter hasn’t discouraged your fish-keeping practices.\u00a0 Remember to use an insulated container for safe transportation of aquarium inhabitants!
\nOur Vice-President, Jody McManus, runs an extensive fishroom \/ fish-basement, with over 50 aquariums!\u00a0 He has been successful at breeding and raising numerous fish species, ranging from livebearers to cichlids, from around the world.\u00a0 In addition, Jody organizes and runs our Breeders Award Program (BAP), which encourages members to document breeding success and distribute species within our membership.\u00a0 This month’s presentation will feature Jody’s updated breeder’s fishroom.\u00a0 There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.<\/p>\n

We will have some open vendor\u2019s tables for people (including you) who want to bring some stuff to sell, so bring some cash, just in case.\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget that memberships are up for renewal, and we can do them at the meeting.\u00a0 However, if you are unable to attend the meeting, you can still renew online by going to our Membership page.\u00a0 Previous memberships expired on September 31, 2022.<\/p>\n
