There\u2019s always room for one more group of fish, or a special place for just one more plant! Get ready for another OVAS auction, it\u2019s time to trade livestock again!<\/p>\n

Aquarium Livestock Mini Auction<\/strong>

\nBidding starts at 7:00pm SHARP!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bidders<\/strong>
\nWhat to expect:<\/strong>\u00a0Bargains, tough bidding wars and lots of fun! It\u2019s a great chance to try new species or add to your community tank. You may find uncommon fish, plants & invertebrates, even live food cultures, many of which are homegrown!<\/p>\n

\u2013 Members and non-members can bid & there is no attendance fee!
\n\u2013 Pick up your bidder number upon arrival.
\n\u2013 Preview of items is allowed before the auction begins &\u00a0not\u00a0<\/strong>during the auction.
\n\u2013 The auction is\u00a0cash only<\/strong>\u00a0(there is no ATM\u00a0in the Arena).
\n\u2013 Respect the auctioneer\u2019s final call on all lots.
\n\u2013 Consider bringing an insulated bag or Styrofoam cooler for transporting livestock.<\/strong>
\n\u2013 There will also be a raffle!<\/p>\n

Volunteers
\n<\/strong>If you can volunteer during the event you may be involved with setup (6:00pm), registration, recording, auctioneering, running, raffling, or greeting attendees. Volunteers can still hold a bidding card.\u00a0\u00a0SIGN UP<\/a>\u00a0in advance on the forum.<\/p>\n

Consignors<\/strong>
\nThis is a\u00a0livestock only<\/strong>\u00a0auction; dry goods are not permitted. Maximum 3 lots of the same species\/consignor.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Seller Registration:<\/strong>
\nYou MUST\u00a0print and complete the SELLER form below,\u00a0<\/strong>and LABEL each BAG\u00a0as pre-numbered lots.<\/strong>
\nUse the\u00a0Seller Form and Bag Form<\/a>\u00a0formats:
\nOVAS Seller Form<\/a>
\nOVAS Bag Form<\/a>
\nAll items must be\u00a0bagged and labelled properly<\/strong>\u00a0for sale (BAGGING TECHNIQUE<\/a>).
\nSellers with improperly bagged items may incur re-bagging fees.
\n\u2013 Please\u00a0arrive as early as 6:00pm<\/strong>\u00a0to ensure your lots are registered.
\n\u2013 The cost to register items is\u00a0$1 per lot for OVAS members\u00a0(or CAOAC affiliated club) &\u00a0$2 per lot for non-members. No charge for donations.
\n\u2013 Bidding starts at $2, unless a reserve bid is specified.
\n\u2013 Unsold lots are the responsibility of the consignor & are subject to registration fees.
\n\u2013 Payout occurs only once all items have been sold.<\/p>\n

This is a FREE event sponsored by the Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society. Anyone with an interest in aquariums and related hobbies is welcome to attend. OVAS presentations are a great place to meet other aquarium hobbyists, exchange ideas and learn more about fish and aquatic plant keeping.<\/p>\n
