{"id":985,"date":"2011-02-08T21:13:04","date_gmt":"2011-02-08T21:13:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ovas.ca\/ovas\/?p=985"},"modified":"2011-03-10T14:23:58","modified_gmt":"2011-03-10T14:23:58","slug":"february-general-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ovas.ca\/ovas\/february-general-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"February General Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong> <\/strong> We have another excellent speaker lined up for our February meeting.\u00a0 Debbie McGuire of the Canada Border Services Agency will give a presentation on the various legal aspect of importing and how it relates to our hobby.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/ovas.ca\/index.php?topic=48668.0\" target=\"_blank\">meeting<\/a> will be held February 28, 2011 starting at 7pm at <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.ca\/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=941+Clyde+Avenue+Ottawa+Ontario&amp;sll=45.358478,-75.738351&amp;sspn=0.429412,0.773849&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=&amp;hnear=941+Clyde+Ave,+Ottawa,+Ottawa+Division,+Ontario&amp;t=h&amp;ll=45.372273,-75.744317&amp;spn=0.013416,0.024183&amp;z=16\" target=\"_blank\">JA Dulude Arena<\/a>.\u00a0 There will be no mini-auction at this meeting as the Giant Auction is being held on March 6, 2011.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Debbie  began her career with the Government of Canada in 1999 with the Canada  Customs and Revenue Agency.\u00a0 In 2002, Debbie took a position with the  Trade Division and began working in outreach.\u00a0 Following the creation of  the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in 2003, Debbie became a  Senior Trade Officer in the Northern Ontario Region assisting importers  and brokers in the St-Lawrence District to help them meet the  obligations of new trade legislation and policies introduced after  September 11, 2001.\u00a0 Debbie continues to deliver outreach information  sessions and represents the CBSA at trade shows within the region.\u00a0 She  is available to provide advice and on-site client visits or formal  importing information seminars focusing on customs and trade legislation  compliance issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have another excellent speaker lined up for our February meeting.\u00a0 Debbie McGuire of the Canada Border Services Agency will give a presentation on the various legal aspect of importing and how it relates to our hobby.
