Ill play with it tonight while I do my water change, and let you tomorrow if i can find anything mechanically I can find to solve the noise problem. Because this filter is supposed to be one of the quietest.

Actually, my emperors always worked fine with minimal noise, and I dont use prime. Wonder whats in prime - that lubricated yours.

well prime is slimy, if you get some on your fingers etc..
