good wish list but I would lose those bannerfish(heniochus..), also cardinals are boring in general so instead a nice fairy wrasse maybe?

Going for Dragonetts, So I don't want a wrasse, The group of cardinals will be small but everything Is just in a planning stage right now as for livestock.

Has there been problems with the Heniochus? Just curious

Oh tank is 72" long x 29" high x 18" deep,

I will be adding a lot more LR

Tyler.L

what kinda corals? softies and zoas? cause dual 150s on 29" wont be able to do much, lps would have to be very very high up, along with sps but zoas and softies would be alright medium to highlight

I also have High Florescents I have to set up, I'll be keeping a wide range of coral.

If you are planning on having Heniochus in a reef, you should reconsider Heniochus acuminatus and get the Heniochus diphreutes instead.  The acuminatus are not considered as reef safe.

As to your fish list, I currently have 12 fish in a 220 and it is starting to look somewhat crowded.  I have a vlamingi tang (will have to trade him later as he will get too big), tomini tang, powder brown tang, blue face angel, potters angel, flame angel, 3 Chaetodon Semilivartus, Heniochus acuminatus, Magnificant Foxface and Marine Betta.  I only have about 150lbs live rock in order to allow swimming room.  The tank is 72"x24"x30".  Your list has nice fish, but their sizes may be too much for your 150 after adding corals.  You may end up with agression issues due to tight living spaces.  I am not trying to discourage you.  Just providing my observations based on my experience.
180g with 2x54g bookend corner bowfront.  220g FOWLR.
75g sump/65g fuge/90g benthic/fuge.

Nothing is certain yet, Just in the planning stage, a lot of the fish I am adding are medium or small fish, I will be creating many caves for hiding places to prevent as much aggression as possible, you also have around 8 Large fish, The Heniochus Are still being an Ify fish for me to add(still not 100% if I am going to add it), at most I want 5 or six big fish max.

You are certainly correct where I have large fish.  I may have to rethink some options regarding stocking.  Your planning is very good.  Especially getting feedback on some of the possible options.  If you have a time this Sunday, you should come by for MASO.  You can meet some other reefers and maybe get some new ideas from them.    Details are in the MASO thread.

according to thier compatability chart

you should be safe with reef-safe wrasses.

But won't they eat all the copapods on the dragonette?

Tyler.L

most of the wrasses will eat some but not mainly like the mandarin. They will eat pretty much anything you throw in the tank.....get wrasses they're to nice to pass up and spend the money on them like rhomboid, lineatus, flame wrasse.....if, if you get a mystery watch them as they get pretty nasty!

Added A Nice Big P-skimmer on it and It has already took out about 4-5 cups of 'green tea' ;D

Oh I also Have to find a way of putting lighting in the canopy but for now it's off to run the P-skimmer on it until I can't find some people to lift the tank so it can be drilled

kennyman

My canopy might be similar. I looked into retrofitting T5s with reflector kits but decided to stick a tek light in there. I used the powdered eyelets that come with the canopy and little plastic coated screwhooks to mount it.

Cost wise it was the same as building one since I got the light for a fair price. I still need to install some exhaust fans though before summer comes. The ballasts are inside a tek light.

I have been thinking of cutting holes in the top of the canopy and placing the light fixtures in the holes,(the new one's pat has that need to be up more) as for canopy stability, it hinges open in the front and is a total rock so I think that may be a good idea.
