tunze nano skimmer.. NOT SKIMMMMING!

following all instructions.. pump doesnt seem to be creating bubbles... buddy picked this unit up for me at the OVAS garage sale, so if your the dude who was selling it, give me a shout and tell me whats up with it ! lol      But yea, just isn't moving any water..  am I doing somthing wrong ?

I'm not the one that sold this to you, but I have one myself.  Every now and then it just stops working.  Usually it means something is clogged at the top ...play with the screw on the top (right under the cup), turn it all the way in and out, that usually clears it and it starts working right away again.  If that doesn't work, I know some people say to make a bucket of water with some vinegar in it and let it run in that for a few hours ...myself i just take it apart, give it a good cleaning and put it back together, takes about 5 minutes ...don't pull the hose out though ...you will see a hose and you will want to pull it out to clean it ...don't do it, clean it while it's still in the skimmer ...it took me hours to get that stupid hose back in after.
