I've got a small bubble-tip anemone in my tank and I know that they like to keep their foot tucked out of the light but it's moved itself way under the rockwork and it's been there for a while now (about a month since I put it in the tank).  The sexy shrimp are all around it but it's tuck so far in there I can only see the shrimp and barely the nem.

In most places you see people's BTA's enjoying the light.  Any reason why this one would be so shy?  Self-esteem issues?  New fan of the Twilight series and it's pretending to be a vampire?

Do you have really strong circulation? Try changing it a bit see if that affects it.

It tends to come out at night and when just the actinics are on.  For instance, right now with just the LED moon lights it is totally expanded.  When the full lights are on it's cringed up into the rock crevasse.

As for lights: I'm running a 6-bulb Teklight on a 90G.

Maybe it is not use to teh intense light then not the current. can you make a shadey spot for it? Then slowly acclimate it to more intense light. When I got mine he was under MH so going under my Tek 6 bulb was just fine he settled in right off.

Do you know what kind of light it was under before?  And is it bleached per chance?  Sound like it just needs time to adjust to the light, give it time. :)

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.  So love the people who treat you right.  Forget about the one's who don't.  Believe everything happens for a reason.  If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.  If it changes your life, let it.  Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

it will do what it wants leave it alone. dont start doing things to try and make it come out, it will come out when its ready. i am voting it is just hanging out and doing it own thing for now and getting used to your parameters. Sexy shrimp could be annoying it also...but leave it alone

Maybe I should try netting the sexy shrimp and put them in the fuge for a while?

The nem was under one of those huge MH bulbs that seem to produce more blues than whites. There is a fair bit of current in my tank, but where I put the nem there isn't much current.  Just enough to wave it's tentacles lightly
