Yes, it's that time of year again...  When my Horton intake goes from 1 cup a week to up to 3 a day on the CHANCE that I might win a free cup.  So far this year, I'm 1 win for 10 cups... Free coffee... yeah...

Anyone win anything "good"?  My buddy won the $100 card two years ago... That keeps him going back.

I once saw a lady buying a coffee at the Hortons at Walmart, and her remaining balance on her card had 3 employees in shock.  I think I heard that she had a $68,000 balance on it.  Neat trick since they have a max balance cap on them, eh?  I have to wonder if she won coffee for life and that's how they handle that?

I've won plenty of free coffees and muffins, but I've slowed down on the timmies now that I have a french press at work. Soooo gooood.

I've also thrown out quite a few without rolling them up by mistake!

Has anyone heard of someone winning something huge?

I went with my buddy once last year, and we ended up in 2 lines... He got in line, and some jerk stepped in front of him to order...  That guy got his travel mug refilled - and was given an empty extra large cup to roll up...... and won the car (Rav 4 last year?).

Yes, my buddy was not a happy camper.

I also know someone with one of the lame bikes covered in Tim Horton stickers.

My fiance's cousin won the 50-50 at an oilers game a couple weeks ago... $63,000. The fish tank I would buy with that... oh god.

We always get extra large... but there's no guarantee that the lady would have taken THAT cup from that stack...  It could have been grabbed by someone working the drive through while he made up his mind about what kind of donut he wanted.  OR maybe MY coffee lady would have pulled that cup for ME..
