I just made an experiment and found that I could have a problem now...
Just out of curiosity I put several MTS into sump of my SW tank after I heard that people sometimes put them into brakish water. But 2weeks later I found out very small (about 1-2mm) snails look like MTS crawling around my sump/tank. Now there is a question: did anybody else tried them in SW tank? Are ther any snails in SW that looks like MTS? I know that in FW I can find somebody who can deal with their overpopulation, but not sure about SW.

I know they do heavy brackish, with enough acclimation. I didn't know they could do a fast acclimation to full SW, but it wouldn't surprise me at all. These buggers are TOUGH.

As long as you don't overfeed the tank, the population shouldn't get out of control.

And yes, there are a couple of SW snails that look like MTS, but I can't remember them offhand. I'd say you've got baby MTS though.

Pointy snails a bit like MTS would include Cerith snails in SW environment.

You should be right about Cerith, they look like MTS... Too small to clearly identify  .

I have a bunch of tiny snail that do resemble baby mts that have all of a sudden come out of my rockwork. i found it slightly odd as i have no snails in my tank...

I have had at least 6 or 7 types of marine snails in my SW tank over the past year but no MTS anywhere in the house - should I be upset?  8)
