I wouldn't invest in a chiller per say.  they are expensive, and in my opinion hardly worth the price.  During the heat wave, the lids open with a fan on them kept the tank at around 25 or so degrees.  A few ice cubs in the sump/filter during those days when it was super duper hot kept things perfect for my little salt water babies.  Course I don't have MH over my tank.  To be honest, I have no idea how much MH will heat up your tank.  I have just been cautioned saying that without a doubt they will boil my tank.  I supposed a chiller would be one way around that, but they aren't cheap either. MH bulbs need to be replaced about once a year, and run you in the neighbourhood of $100 per bulb.  If you decide to go for it, salt water is totally awesome.

I bought a 20 long.  Thinking of t5.
Insane:  ever heard of the skilter -protein skimmer/filter?

could u pm me what alot is if u dont mind lol. and whats the exact lights u went with,

I have never heard of that protein skimmer-sorry.  I am not on the up and up when it comes to protein skimmers.  I did a lot of research on lighting before I starte my tank, so that is what I know the most about (that and the many, many, MANY problems you encounter setting it up-fish death, coral death, molting, horrible scary fish eating mantis shrimp, ect...)

130 watt is a good choice. Very little you won't be able to keep with that.  Are you doing one 65watt actinic and one 65watt 10,000K daylight, or 2 10,000K daylight?

Did you buy rock yet?

Julie

Hi Insane, I did the combo one with act.
I haven't purchased the rock yet, but I picked up the sand/salt/hydrometer today.
My light is arriving this week.
What size is your tank?

Thanks,
Julie
