#1 Absolutely, road trip for sure.
#2 More than one would think reasonable.

I'm very curious about the structure of the tank itself along with the cost, but more importantly, I am very curious about the support structure underneath that is holding up a rough ten tons evenly and steadily.

I guess I'm looking around the living room trying to figure out where to put one like it without the landlord noticing the crane out front hoisting a 16 foot tank up to the roof.

i would put 200 discus, 400 rummynoes tetras, some wild altums, and a red tail catfish or two.

PFG got it right, wouldent that be fun, watching a RTC chase hundres of discus, and rummy noeses? i think it would be awsom, but the discus would get exspensive fast, plus i realy like their personality... maybe i will go with feeder goldfish.

400 Rummy Nose at 3$ a pop. 1.2K
Ignoring the price of the altum angels that is a pretty expensive "show".

anyone feel like a drink in seattle? in a chinese aquarium they have a HUGE tank with XXXL cichlids like rds and jags. they also had about 1500 neons in there. they say that the big guys dont even bother chasing them.Anyways i cant imagine the monthly cost and efforts that goes into a tank like that. still a pretty spicy meatball.The aquascape is not particularily beautiful now but once its done im sure it will be impressive.As to what i would do with a tank like that. Boy. too many options. Brain overloading. Shutting down.Anyways can you imagine planting 15 square feet of glosso?most of us lose it after 12 square inches.i guess 5000 tets would be sweet in a planted tank.

yeah the aqua scaping isn't anything to die for. if i were him i would of put soooo much time into the aquascaping.
