I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this item. I can't seem to get a really good picture, but apparently this, and another coral? are hitchhikers on a section of live rock I added to my tank. They are growing and doing very well.

One of them is red and white (smaller) and the other is black. Whenever I open the lid or pass to close to the black one it retreats into a hole in the live rock, but when completely out is about 2 -3 inches high.

Jason.

Some people need glasses :) cause those are feather dusters/tube worms

Thanks for your responses. With your help I have been checking around on the net and I think I have identified it as a White Tube Worm. The attached picture looks pretty close.

How do I get rid of my crabs? i bought a trap from Marinescape, also tried the jar.  I've had more success just grabbing the rock the the crab is on hopefully before he can go hid in it.  I caught 4 or 5, but theres still 2 or three left and at this point they're huge, i think they killed my porcelain crab.  i DO NOT feed my tank, havnt put any food it in in months.  i let the goby eat whatever organisms are in the tank and he's alright but i want these two crabs out so i can feed him some flakes.  i seen one crab tear a tubeworm apart.  i got rid of him, but one of the 2 i still have is bad im pretty sure.  my hermit crabs are a menace too they pull corals around in search for food are they necessary?
