does anyone know if i need metal hallide for a christmas tree rock? how much do they differ from featherdusters?

Hello fender...........
If not mistaken xmas trees happen to be of the same
types of Colt and finger leathers...thus requiring
an abundant flow of light........
I had a colt before my tank crashed and I found that
PCs were good enough but MH brought out the best of him.
Keep in mind it was a 65 g tank...yours being a 20g only;.. PCs
should be suffiecient
also they require a bit of calcium and iodine for best results.

if your putting it in your 20g like you tank list says, you don't need halides. these lights are just better at reaching bottom in deep tanks. if you put 2 65watt pc or t5 and have good flow, you'll see how good any coral will do in the tank under that light.

i got power compacts i wouldnt mind trying one out i got a nice little spot.  anyone got any frags? :)  i guess i should also mention i'm talking about the worms not the "christmas tree coral"
