came home from work today to find my green feather duster destroyed, the feathers are on the other side of the tank.  i thought i got rid of all the hitchhiker crabs, could it be the peppermint shrimp i just bought?

I got Coperband and it wiped ALL worms (exept fireworms)...
Actually a lot of them just afraid to get out of their tubes. The only few that are happy are located behind my green BTA.

i dont have a copperband, im thinking i might have a mantis shrimp in my tank.  im staying up tonight....

I think, that mantis shrimp could take care of you hermits population, but not fan worms. It usually stay in one place and hunting what is passing by...

if the mantis shrimp stays in one place then i guess im wasting my time with this x-terminator mantis shrimp trap.  i dont think i have the patience to wait for him to come out.  i dont know what i got but my tank has always had a snapping/tick since i got the live rock but i assumed it was a pistol shrimp. it's starting to bother me now....

have you found some hermit or snail shells that have been smashed open? this is one way to find out if you actually have one or something else.
