just got back from work and was looking for My big anemone and it
is stuck in my seio 820 pump ( the pump is now off )
what should i do?????????????
will it get out by it self anything i should do ???? ??? >:( >:(

FishPassion

If it was me I would let it try to get out itself rather than than try pulling at it, if there is any part of the pump that you can loosen to help the aneome get away on its own that may help.
I had a 14" riteri wrap itself aroud my submersible heater once and I pulled the plug and let it get itself loose. It was burned but healed very quickly with in 2-3 weeks.
Hope this helps
Sorry I have never owned a seio pump so cant elaborate on what to do.

What is the anemone?
I just had my BTA (green one I got from FP) shredded a little bit by my powerhead. It got into this "shield" atually. So, I took the shield and got anemone by force from it. I was lucky (as well as anemone), it just moved and settled down in some place. Since that time it does not move any longer, but it is feeling fine, even eating (strated eating shrimp on the third day this accident occured).
I cannot say wat is better to help it, or leave as is - I helped and it was fine for me...

GVV isnt it funny that it takes an "accident" sometimes to keep an anenome in place almost seems like they have a memory. the big rirteri I had was the same after the incident never moved again.

Try to protect the powerhead intake. I'm using sponge media on my powerheads and also made a new one for the powerhead without it where my anemone got stuck. Unfortunatly you should rinse them regularly, or they will become the source of nitrites...

GVV suggested this to me because he saw my ritteri a day after it was burned is to get a cover for your submersible heater if it is in the tank and not the sump.
