LOSS OF FISH

Once again grief strikes 
This morning as I always do woke up to check on the tanks .
to my biggest surpise 3 of my fish were dead.
My large yellowtang/medium hippo tang/dragon blenni.

this guys have been in my tank for over a year not to mention
all the stress they have gone though when my previous tank crashed and all the back and forth transfers.

What I believe killed the fish was a dying anemone which I tried to save
when it came unattached to the rock it was stuck to.......few days ago;
some of its small tentacles started to melt away,so by placing it on a different spot
so I thought would spare his life.......Not to be I guess

so  now I assumed some type of
released chemical is what killed the fish........
the only survivors are 2 true perc which are now homeless,my serpent star
lots of hermits and turbos.....

It will be a while before I put new fish in there........all parameters read fine
water will be changed 20% and things will hopefully get back in order minus the fish of course.
lesson learned " Always ger rid of dying anemones while you can"
otherwise dead fishies will be the result.

I have been cautioned that the seasquirts I bought can also poison the water when/if they die. seeing what happend to you and how fast it happened I will not mess round with this. If they start to decline out they go!

Also try to put in active carbon in a HOB it will help clean the tank of the toxins the anemone release in the water.

That happen to me with my Atlantic, when it got suck in the AC 500, I got home and all the fishes in my 65 gal were dying. I did a 50% water change and added carbon and it took out the toxins! The Killer stars were upside down dying and came back!

I replaced 20% of water this afternoon.....
so hopefully this will be the end of that.
however,my tank looks quite empty without 3
of the previous residents.......
and the percs have nowhere to hide........
thinking of what I can put in there now.........or should say
much later.
any ideas???
