Yesterday I purchased some dried bulb plants (Aponogeton and dwarf lily bulbs), the ones that are supposed to be put in the tank and over time they start sprouting. As soon as i put them in the tank they sank and i was wondering if these suspicious looking plants will actually sprout?

If yer talking about the waly-mart type gig.  The Apo's worked out for me.......in fact i had to tear them out 'cause they were killing the light for the rest of the tank and the flowers kept poking out of the hood. The dwarf lillies however just pretty much sank and did nothing......after 2 months of waiting...... into the compost they went but I might have got a dud batch  :-\

I tried the dried Aponogeton bulbs once with no luck - all were completely rotten and went mouldy.  Good luck :)

I got some of these and about half turned into plants that are doing well and the remainder started rotting and molding.

The apos should not be completely buried in the substrate to grow.
Very nice plant, clown loach salad...
