I just can't seem to keep the stuff alive!!  I had a good healthy chunk that cost a lot of money and the shrimp dug through it so much that it all died...and I thought it was the light.  Now the light is better, I got a chunk from Toss and again, it seems to have vanished!  Are my Amano's eating it or am I just unlucky with this plant?

Not sure but here is a link to it sounds quite easy- http://192.38.244.204/go.asp?plant=1

IMO I think the shrimp are a little to small they would perfer to breed in there instead of chew it up... is there anything else for them to munch on in there? it's not a new tank is it?

I know moss isn't pellia, but one could make the arguement that they share similiarities.
Someone in my tank eats my pellia - could be the amanos, SAE, or the redline barbs.
I gave some pellia to someone who believed her amanos ate it, but she also had SAE.
I'm narrowing it down, but nothing conclusive yet......all this to say is that they could be the culprit in my tank anyways (although I suspect the SAE more - they have a shifty look about them).

SAE's will definitely graze on Riccia.  If an SAE would do it, I wouldn't put it past another herbivore like amano shrimp.

I think I have an explanation.  Toss was over here today to pick up the rest of the rocks from my garden and he had a look at my set-up.  He pointed out that the area where the riccia would settle was right around my heater.  The heater was simply melting it all!

He gave me a couple chinks of it to try again.  I'm going to try to secure it to something that stays away from the heater.  Also, he suggested that I try it in cooler water...like my CPD tank!
