Ever since my ich attack a couple months back all my plants suffered big time from the salt & copper sulfate. Of course that included the plants in my plant filter. It of course has all the same water parameters as my main planted tank. The problem ever since that damn Ich attack has been getting any plants to take root and grow again. I've fought algae in the filter, root & stem root, you name it... I deepened the gravel, even added some latirite... Even added a small PH to increase internal water flow... I usually do nothing with this tank the plants get all their nutrients from the NH3 & NO2 feed from the main tank but not for some time... :(

I covered it for 5 days then replanted whatever had died off... I've been working on the plumbing and perfecting it... this all started as a test project then became a reality... :) Well as usual a big thanks must go out to the OVAS brain trust... One of which was BigDaddy helping someone else in another thread helped me... :) I added a 'Tee' at the top drain of my plant filter to let the air escape letting the water flow with out noise and increased flow... I did have a small hole drilled but it did not do enough... By doing this I'm able to feed more water so this has helped my plants regain balance in the filter...

Thanks again to all of you OVAS experienced members!!! Kodus to all of you!
