Death to Duck Weed!!

OK OK maybe that is a bit harsh but I want to rid my 90G planted of the stuff (which snuck in)
How can I get rid of it?

Slowly and meticulously removing it from the tank with each water change.

I just used a net and scooped it all out. Then I used a sponge to remove any that had stuck to the sides of the aquarium. It's all gone now

I wish you luck, I've been fighting the stuff in my 55G for years ....

My best suggestion, in addition to the above, is to make sure you get it out of your filters too.

I got rid of it from my 55 with the net too. It seemed easy enough and I don't think it took a whole hour. I have been duckweed free since the spring.

At first I thought it would be  good to have as a floating plant. But once I realized all the surface coverage I got from Vallis and the Lotus I did not want the duckweek anymore. Also I do not miss my filter intake looking like a chi-a-pet

You could always give *me* some!   Seriously, I want a bit of the stuff, and I don't mind scooping it out when it gets to be too much.  PM me, I will be at the next meeting (going to join!) and can get it from you.

We're thinking our fish enjoyed a salad bar.
NetCop had some from BA's and it just kept getting less and less... not in the filters either.
What kind of dressing do you suppose we should buy for thier salad? 

BTW: We'll gladly take some off your hands for you.

Brough someone's goldfish for a week or 2... they love the stuff! Plus net & pick I got rid of this way never seen it again.

Seriously if anyone wants some just come and get it PLEASE!! PM me and we'll arrange a time. If I have any left at the end of the month I'll try to bag it and bring it to the meeting in case anyone wants it. I've got a few other plants that need trimming too so you can have some of that too. Don't ask me what kind they are...I dunno plant names yet.

I have so much to do this coming week, I don't know if I can find the time to go to the Glebe!  (It's such an awkward place to get to from Orleans)
