My past experience with acrylic has been so-so. I found it scratched easily, warped, and yellowed. But I can't recall the exact conditions it was used it, and it may have been plexi-glass. Others don't seem to have this problem.

I am looking for a tank for a lizard and found one that is the perfect dimensions for sale here.  What has been your experience with acrylic over the years? The few people I've asked with experience indicated that they had no issues, but I want to ensure that this is general consensus.

Also, what is a fair price per gallon, approximately?

Thanks!

reptiles and acrylic I think don't make a good mix.  Their claws will destroy the look of the tank for sure.

I wouldnt use an acrylic tank for reptiles either. When in a glass aquarium they usually tend to eat the silicone. In an acrylic aquarium. They tend to scratch the panels of the tank.At least the glass you can reseal the silicone. With the acrylic. You would have to buff out the scratches.Which can be done.
