I think my Yellow Lab is holding eggs.  Once she starts releasing the fry, is it safe to leave her in the same tank with them or will she eat them?  I plan on moving her to her own tank pretty quick here as I know the rest of her tankmates will eat the fry.

Congrats !

It is not likely that she will eat her own fry, I use to have yellow labids and had 4 spawns, each time I would put the mother in her own 10 gallon tank with lots of rock work and hiding places as soon as I seen the bulge in her throught, after about 28 days she will spit the eggs out,  give her a few days to recover, as she would not have been eatting the whole time. After that you can introduce the mother back into the tank.

Do you have food for the fry ?  I find that flake food crushed really small is fine.  I also have some baby brine shrimp eggs at my place if you want to try hatching some for your fry ?
