Busy with so many projects ,..I noticed two weeks ago my barbs and tetras were staying at one end of my 30 gallon... today I see two of the large Kribs have a large bunch of babies in a flower pot.... free swimming and nibbling at bottom stuff...... Amazing how the Kribs did`nt bother with the large apple snail hanging around nearby !!!.......
I`ll remove  all the barbs and tetras to another tank,..and let the kribs and snails do their thing !!!.... ,..   I really miss my Convics !!,.. too bad they`re so darn prolific !!!...    John

John, Kribs are just as bad as convicts once they get going!

Congrats, and it's nice to hear that you have a "large" applesnail in this tank ;)

I would only put one pair of kribs in a 30 gal, especially if one of the pairs is breeding. They can be quite vicious fish when they want to. And luv is right, once they get going, they never stop. We have a pair of albino kribs at BA in a display tank that breeds about every 2-3 weeks.

id get the other kribbs out .mine sucked  3 mystery snails out of their shells before i caught on.they were pretty big too. funny thing is that they try to attack the fish in the tanks beside them.those things are horny little buggers. they bred 3 day after i got them but i think they ate their first spawn. now they are aising 3 1/2 week old fry. way to go . they are fun fish
