My Tank is Draining Me

I have had aquariums all my life, so its easy to forget how attached we are to our little aqua biospheres. The ups and the downs, almost like a soap opera, not much changes from day to day.....but enough to keep us interested, curious and excited to see the little ongoing changes. Last week I bought a Pulsing Zenia, and a Barnacle Blenny. Such big excitement..WOW..both are doing great . The Blenny is sooo cute, if I entered him in the POTM contest, I'm sure he would come in First and Second place . Saturday morning I found my CleanerShrimp dead . I guess that happens. I was Down, but It gave me the chance to go to AquaValley  . I bought another one , he was cute, but small...he never made it through acclimatization  . I guess he didn't like the 40 MIN car drive.(I live out of town) 
Who new owning a fish tank could be emotionally draining.

The 40 min drive is nothing as these are shipped from the other side of the world.

I've usually had great luck with acclimatizing new purchases. I float the bag for temperature adjustment and add 1 cup of aquarium water to the bag every 10 min for 1 hour. For invertebrates I use a bit less aquarium water at a time for a longer period of time.
I came straight home from the store and had the heat going and even had a blanket in a cooler for him.

shrimps are ultra sensitive to temp change, for any livestock you bring in dose not matter from where it came plz float all bags for 45mins first then start adding water, but it must float first for 45 min. also when you are changing water or just adding water, try to add it far away from shrimps, splash of different temp water on them and they are dead. 40min drive shoudnt kill it they survive 48hour transit time well as long there is no temp issue.
