I recently got a pair of kirbs for free and i notice the female belly pretty big. So the past couple of day i don`t see the female anywhere and only see the male. Does this mean that there in their breeding process. Thankz

The female is probably hiding somewhere with a bunch of eggs! Usually the male will be chasing everyone else away from the area where the eggs are.

Good luck!

Thank you. I guess i know where she is then. Hiding behind my massive piece of driftwood. I did notice the male suck sand in his mouth n spit it out on to the arm of the driftwood. I guess i will be seeing a massive amount of fry in the coming week then :) YAY!!!! BAP point lol

Don't forget, you have to have the pair for 30 days before they breed to claim bap points!! I had a ton of platy fry born the day I purchased the darn things haha didn't count :(

Good luck with your kribs!! Mine are starting to set up to spawn again! eek!
if you have any other fish in the tank they will be chased by the parents, they are fearless protectors!

If you want them to grow faster, give them frequent water changes, and a good growth food like baby brine shrimp or similar foods.
