Thanks for an AMAZING afternoon! A big shout out to Errol for getting this going! Thanks as well to  La Niche et Moi  for the generous discount - it was my first time at the new location and I am just as impressed with it as I was with the old one - glad to see the quality maintained! Definitely will be back and I encourage everyone to go check them out for their healthy livestock and plants, and pristine tanks! Not a salt guy here but a few of us marvelled at their large salt tank!

Also a big thank you for the excitement provided by Tropica! I happened to win a half-portion of the soil and I am excited to get it set up in a new nano tank! Great initiative on your part Kyle - definitely got all of us excited! A neat idea to continue for future sessions from other vendors/retailers for sure!

Last but not least! Thanks fellow plantaholics for the usual great company! Never a dull event with all you plant freaks! Looking forward to the next one already! Thanks again!

Ok Guy`s & Girls, at the last plantahoclic, i mentioned that i will try to plan a day for a road trip to Aquasense in Montreal with the Montreal planted hobbyist joining  us for a fun filled day.
Biulu ( Montreal) has agreed to organize the BBQ & coordinate the Montreal folks.
Luke is going to work out what specials or discounts he can offer that day.
Ideally we can do it on a Saturday or Sunday in June, so please chime in with your thoughts.

It would most likely last the whole day so I would prefer a Saturday.

I'm in, too, but I'm out of the country until June 12. So any weekend after that. I can drive as well.

I'd be interested, mid to late June works better for me.

The 18th sounds good. Remember that 1st of July is official moving day in Montreal so the closer we get to that date, the more people will be busy arranging their moving and actually be moving.

I don't know how many of you know Aquarius; it is a relatively small shop but they specialise in fish that look exceptionally nice in planted tanks like small shoaling fish and even catfish. Some fish they have regularly in stock are: ember tetras, microdevario kubotai, cpd's, glolight danios and other. Here is their website: http://aquariusweb.qc.ca/.

They have an option to choose all the fish they have in stock to give you an idea what interesting fish they have. If you are interested, we can add it to the programme.

Anyone know how well these LED lights would fit on a rimmed tank?

I have two A series chihiros both on rimless tanks. They're well measured and fit snug on rimless. They would definitely not fit a rimmed tank.

Do you fine them hot to touch?  I could always buy one size up and place them on the rim.

They do get a bit hot, like any LED really, but I bought these $2 dimmers off ebay which help reduce the intensity. So they barely get warm to the touch now.

Thanks Charley for putting this together.  The 18th works for me.  My car finally died so I would need a lift if anyone has a spare seat.

awesome Zolta.
Guys it`s getting closer & our fellow plant hobbyist from Montreal  need to know how many of us will be attending.
It would greatly aid in working out the logistics etc  if you would indicate your intention.

This sounds like it will be a lot of fun... tried to free up the day, but alas, it does not appear to be in the cards.  :(

A shame too, as I would have picked up a fire 60p and possible an LED light.

Have fun guys!
