Just getting started 46 Gallon tank

I kept fish as a kid but it's been a long time.  I am starting a new aquarium with my son.  Picked up a used 46 Gallon Bowfront.  Have started a fishless cycle.  I never knew any of this stuff as a kid, amazing I kept any of them alive at all.  Anyone got some filter media from an established tank they would consider donating?

Hey welcome to the club and back to the hobby. I'm sure someone can help you out with a little cycled media. Maybe if you post where abouts you are based someone might be able to help you out.

I'm in Old Ottawa South, near Bank and Sunnyside, but willing to drive a little way, beats waiting for Nitrates to show up.
