Led bulbs

Hey Guys,
Have an aquarium and the incandescent bulb gave out.
I want to replace it with an lcd.
Will a 5200 Kalvin bulb grow plants?

Yes, 5000-8000k is generally appropriate. Outside of this range may encourage algae.

It may encourage algae anyway because leds are typically brighter than the incandescent bulbs. If so just reduce photoperiod.
