ahright guys i dont have spare rocks. ive heard of using clam shells. anyone ever done this. i just want to attach the frags of leather to something. anybody know where i can get these close to stlaurent street. or what else i can use. thx.

Julie

I'm sure I've seen frags attached to sea shells.
I think they are available at the dollar store.
Or you could break off a little piece of live rock and attach.
When I got my colt frag it was just a frag not attached to anything.

Do you know how long they can stay like that, Julie?

Julie

You mean not being attached?
I've neglected to attach it to anything, I've tried to wedge it in between numerous rocks and it just keeps floating all over the tank.  I had to almost turn the tank upside down to remove the hawk fish and I think the frag got buried.  It showed up again the other day as 2 frags and it's still growing.  I wedged one little piece in a hole in the rock and it seems to be staying, not sure if it will get enough light - the other one I tried to tie with a thread tonight but it didn't work so I kind of stuck it in a crevice and hopefully it stays.  I've had it for about 2 months now.

WOW! Has it really been that long since you've had this lil' tank up and going?    Seems like yesterday we were drooling over other people's sw setups. Haha.

Julie

I think I set the tank around Halloween - so 1 month 3 weeks to be exact, I got those frags in the first week.
