Hi,

I have a Fluval Tronic Heater 200w. The knob to adjust the temp is broken. I accidently twisted too far and its loose now and will not go back into place. Can anyone help? Am I able to fix this?

Thanks for the help!

You could, but I would not recommend it.

The nob controls a tempurature sensitive metal (actual, just a regular piece of metal) that expands/shrinks based on water temp.

If you pushed it too far (like I've done many times), they generally "break" the piece of plastic that prevents it from heating again, so you dont COOK your fish.  The reason it breaks is to keep the metal from being on FULL contact all the time.  Most do not have wiggle room after a set limit.  Secondly, if you have one with a metal pin (cheaper ones), then you probably bent the metal and it's now finished and the heater wont heat/stop heating.
