Painting Plexiglass

Does anyone know what kind of paint I could use on plexiglass?  A tank I picked up for a new snake enclosure has a plexi bottom (which will actually be the back wall of the enclosure... I'm going to use the open end as the front).  I'd like to paint it over in black to hide the scratches and imperfections.  I went to HD today and they said nothing will stick to plexi... any opinions?  I really like the stone-like textured spray paint, but don't want to buy a can before I know if it'll work.

if you roughly sanded the plexi, wouldn't it have enough texture for the paint to hold onto?  then the paint would disguise the sanding?  just a guess though, I am by no means handy.

Go to Canadian tire / automotive deparment, and purchase one can of Matt Black spray paint, flip your tank up side down and wash the part you wish to paint with windex and let it dry, then paint the designated area of the tank with the spray paint, use light coats and let it dry well in between coats, it will stick to plexiglass and glass, as long as you give it enough time to dry.
Wait 3 to 4 days before using tha tank.

Make sure you paint the out side of the enclosure, not the inside.

You can use Mactac, a sticky  plastic sheet,that can be cut to size.I do believe it come in a clear sheet so you can put pics between the two sufaces.

I'd use Krylon Fusion instead of automotive paint.  The stuff sticks nicely to patio furniture so it should stick to your tank bottom.
